To keep your wood desirable for future generations, you need to do more than dust once every week or so and polish once or twice a year. You should do an annual cleaning of all wood surfaces in your home.

Here’s how:

Mix a bucket of warm water and some dish soap. Whip it up until there are plenty of suds. Scoop up the suds and apply them to the wood surface. Work in with a cotton cloth or your hands and wipe with a dry towel. You don’t want the soap suds to sit for long so do sections at a time and quickly dry that section.

The next step is to “feed the wood”.
We recommend using a non silicone based polish specifically one with natural oils and waxes such as orange oil, beeswax, and carnuba wax. We use this combination in our Luster Restore product and it basically waterproofs the wood and feeds with the natural oils at the same time. Using products such as Luster Restore four times a year will insure your woods don’t dry out.
Taking these steps will ensure you get the most out of your wood furniture. Visit www.exactmatchwoodtouchup.com for more wood care tips.
